My Journey - A Leadership Perspective Built on True Experience

With  35 years of operational experience, including serving as a CEO, I have sat in the chairs my clients sit in today. I understand the weight of high-stakes decision-making, the complexity of global operations, and the relentless pressure of driving growth.  I have worked with starts ups, scale ups and large enterprises.

My career has taken me across the Atlantic three times, navigating different cultures and markets to build and scale organizations. But throughout those moves and milestones, the part of the job I found most rewarding—and the reason I eventually stepped away from full-time operational roles—was the opportunity to help leaders grow.

Rooted in Reality

I grew up in the north of England in a working-class family. That foundation gave me a "roll up your sleeves" work ethic and a belief that leadership isn't about a title—it’s about the ability to build strong, resilient teams and help individuals achieve potential they didn't know they had.

When you work with me, you aren't getting theory from a textbook. You are getting a partner who has worked closely with the board, led through transitions, and understands the human element of business.

Beyond the Office

I believe that great leadership is a marathon, not a sprint, and balance is what keeps us in the race. I have been happily married for 26 years and I am a proud father of four—two boys and two girls. Whether I’m navigating a complex acquisition for a client or supporting my family at home, I lead with the same core values: integrity, growth, and true human connection.

The Science of Leadership

While my leadership philosophy was forged on the business field, I believe that the best leaders never stop being students. To complement my 15 years of C-Suite experience, I enrolled in the Leadership and Performance Coaching Certification at Brown University.  This intensive program allowed me to layer a formal, methodical framework over my real-world expertise. By integrating Brown’s rigorous, evidence-based coaching transformational models with my own history of scaling global businesses, I provide a coaching and / or mentoring experience that is both psychologically grounded and commercially astute
